2010 Brit Awards – London, Photos

I’m working tonight on the Getty Images London Picture Desk. Big night with the 2010 Brit Awards and the two huge Champion’s League matches; Manchester United v AC Milan, and Lyon v Real Madrid.

Do other tourists annoy you?

I’ve carefully phrased the above subject as I don’t want to pretend that I’m a) not a tourist, and b) not annoying. I am keen though to know what really gets your blood boiling when you’re on the road travelling.

2009 Tour Down Under with Lance Armstrong

One of the last jobs I completed in Australia before I moved overseas was the Tour Down Under cycling race in Adelaide. The race is starting again with a criterium in Adelaide on Sunday and I’ll be tuning into my TV in London to see what happens.

My tip for this years race is 2008 champ German Andre Greipel for the overall honours, with RadioShack working hard for Lance to win a stage. I’ve released a gallery of images from the 2009 race for you to have a look at.

Plenty of people that I’ve spoken with think that such lists are daft, that there is little point in designating an obscure spot that is …

London, England to Tokaj, Hungary

Three weeks ago I arrived in London weary and excited, and that’s where I pick up this blog from.
I envy travel writers that must make such perfect diary entries be it scrawled on a blank piece of newspaper, on a napkin at a restaurant, or neatly in their little laptop sitting on the cafe table. I just can’t keep up to be honest, between photographing, exploring, eating and just taking it in the blog has been left to sit idle. Which as it turns out is a bit slack as …

Yangshuo to Dali, China

Five days without an update, and that must surely have more to do with the dreadful internet speed over here in China than it does to do with my work ethic!
I’m sitting in a bar in Dali, Yunnan. A peek over my right shoulder and I can see that for the first time in the two days that we’ve been here the rain has stopped. At approximately 3000m above sea level it should have come as no shock that it is wet and cold, but in a country known for …
